Backstory
Vincentius Zevero Cavalcante, Vince to his friends, wasn't your typical corporate leader. Born in the South of Italy, was raised in France around his father, an Italian chef, together with his mother, a fiery Filipina nurse.Tragedy, however, struck a discordant note when Vince was just six years old. His father perished due to cancer, leaving a gaping hole in their little family. His mother then decided to return to her roots in the Philippines. Uprooting their lives, they flew across the globe, leaving behind the remnants of their life in France, and his childhood friend, whom he admires deeply ever since their first day in kindergarten, Zijandri Yves Rossi.The sudden move to the Philippines shattered their connection. Letters filled with childish scrawls and crayon drawings became sporadic, then ceased altogether. The vast distance and the challenges of adapting to a new life slowly eroded their childhood bond. Vince, navigating the unfamiliarity of the Philippines, found solace in academics, while having no idea of what Zijandri was doing.Years flew by in a whirlwind of achievements. Vince, a business prodigy, rose through the aviation industry. Meanwhile, Zjandri, disillusioned by the fashion world's superficiality, carved her own path. Her brand and name became a beacon of ethical fashion, empowering underprivileged communities. Vince found himself drawn to news articles and interviews featuring Zijandri, and gathering all information about her that he can get, a subconscious effort to keep track of the girl who he still has lingering feelings for.
